Great place in a great location with amazing hosts! No complaints at all. We stayed for several weeks and it was perfect location. Really enjoyed walking to botanical gardens and all the great restaurants nearby.Paul, several-week stay
Extended-stay home in South St. Louis
Norfolk
Your own parking pad, a keypad on the door, a fenced yard out back, and the best restaurant street in the city two blocks away.
Norfolk is the house for the stay that has a purpose: a rotation at Barnes-Jewish, a project at Cortex, a family between houses, a crew on a job across town. A dedicated desk and fast internet keep the workday moving, the stacked washer and dryer keep the laundromat off your calendar, and two full bathrooms mean nobody waits on anybody. Off-street parking is rare in The Grove, and here it is yours.
It is a two-story home on a quiet block just off Manchester Avenue. Living room, dining room, kitchen, a full bath, and the laundry nook are downstairs; a king bedroom, a two-queen bedroom, and a second full bath with a soaking tub are upstairs. Out back, the fenced yard has a patio and a grill, and it is your yard for as long as you are here.
- Pet-friendly, fenced yard
- Private parking pad
- Two full baths
- Dedicated desk
- In-home laundry
- Utilities and internet included
Room by room
Living room, dining room, and a desk that is yours
A deep sectional faces a wall-mounted smart TV in the front room, with big windows and a navy accent wall. The dining room's solid wood table seats six for a real sit-down meal, and a dedicated laptop-friendly workspace with a wired ethernet connection sits ready for video calls. A full bath with a walk-in shower is down here too, for the mornings you are out the door fast.
Full stainless kitchen, stacked washer and dryer
Not a kitchenette. Granite counters, a full-size fridge and freezer, an electric range and oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Keurig, a blender, a toaster, a kettle, and the pots, pans, dishes, and baking sheets to cook the way you cook at home. The washer and dryer live in their own laundry nook off the kitchen, free to use, with an iron and hangers stocked.
King bedroom, two-queen bedroom, soaking tub
The king bedroom is the quiet retreat, with room-darkening shades, a closet with room to actually hang things, and a smart TV. The second bedroom holds two queen beds, ideal for kids, coworkers, or a couple who wants a bed each. The upstairs bath has a tub and shower combo, stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. Fresh linens and extra pillows and blankets are in every room.
Fenced yard, patio, grill, and your own parking pad
The fully fenced backyard is private, with a patio, outdoor seating, and a BBQ grill for coffee at sunrise or dinner once the heat breaks. Dogs get the run of it. Out front, a dedicated off-street parking pad is right on the property, plus free street parking for a visitor or a second vehicle. No permits, no circling the block.

The neighborhood
Norfolk sits in The Grove, the city's official arts and entertainment district and one of its most walkable neighborhoods. Manchester Avenue's restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries are two blocks away, and guests tell us they walk to dinner most nights. The BJC and Wash U medical campus is under a mile away, reachable on foot by the pedestrian bridge, and the Cortex tech district borders the neighborhood. Some blocks are mid-renovation, so expect a little daytime construction noise nearby.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful with our late booking. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable and plenty of extra bedding. They really made our stay for Thanksgiving feel like we were right at home.LaDonna, family Thanksgiving stay
Place looks just like the photos and was very quiet and comfortable. The backyard was great for my dogs and the house is only a couple blocks from The Grove and several restaurants, shopping and a quick drive to Forest Park and West End with lots more great dining and shopping options.Sarah, stay with her dogs
