Fillmore Upstairs is the house for the weeks when work comes with you. A crew in town for a job, a family waiting out repairs on their own place, someone on a month-long assignment: everyone gets a king bed, the office gives one of you a door to close for calls, and street parking right outside means nobody circles the block. Guests who stayed a month told us the owners checked in without ever getting in the way.
It is the second floor of a classic South City brick two-family, freshly renovated with white walls, deep blue accents, stained glass over the beds, and light wood floors throughout. Your own private entrance, a back deck that looks out over the treetops, and a fenced backyard below for throwing the ball. Traveling with a bigger group? The first-floor home, Fillmore Downstairs, has the same layout, and the two can be booked together.

A cream sectional and two navy velvet armchairs around a decorative brick fireplace, with a flat-screen TV above it for streaming and board games in the coffee table. Big windows on two sides, a ceiling fan, and the original stained glass keep it bright and cool.

Slate-blue cabinets, stainless appliances, a dishwasher, and butcher-block counters with open shelves of glassware. Drip, Keurig, and kettle are all here, along with real cookware, a blender, a toaster, and baking sheets. The bench-style table seats six and is where most guests end up working during the day.

Three kings, one office, one full bath
Every bedroom has a king bed with fresh linens, a nightstand with a USB charger, a dresser or wardrobe, a closet with hangers, and a ceiling fan; the two larger rooms have their own Roku TV. The main bedroom opens through French doors to a sunroom office with a desk, chair, and windows on three sides. The full bath has a tub and shower combo with blue tile, stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
Outside and downstairs
Treetop deck, fenced yard, laundry, parking
The back deck sits up in the trees and is where guests take their morning coffee. The backyard below is fenced and shaded, with room for the dog to run. A washer and dryer are down the back stairs in the basement, shared with the first-floor home. Free street parking out front, and guests tell us there is always a spot.

- Check-in from 4:00 PM, checkout by 10:00 AM. Keyless self check-in through a smart lock with your own code.
- The whole second-level home is yours, with a private entrance. The basement laundry and the backyard are shared with the first-floor home.
- Dogs and cats welcome. Please let us know how many are coming so we can have the house ready.
- Quiet hours 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, a city requirement, and the neighbors appreciate it.
- Maximum of 6 guests per city rules. No parties or events.
- Exterior cameras cover the entry points for everyone's safety. There are no cameras inside.
- Travel insurance is a good idea for longer bookings, since last-minute cancellations are not refundable.
