Extended-stay home in South St. Louis

Little Field

3 bedrooms + basement guest room 1 full bath Sleeps 6 Carondelet Park, 63116
4.726 reviews

A decorative fireplace, a stained-glass dining nook, a fenced yard for the dog, and a basement bar straight out of your grandparents' house, five minutes on foot from Carondelet Park.

Little Field is the house for the weeks when you need home to keep working while everything else is in motion. A crew on a St. Louis job, a family waiting out repairs, someone working remotely for a month: everyone gets a real bed, the kitchen is stocked to cook every night, and the washer and dryer are down the stairs instead of across town. Guests who stayed here through a move tell us the fast internet and the fenced yard made it feel like a real home rather than a rental.

It is a bright home on a quiet residential street. Living room, dining nook, kitchen, and three bedrooms on the main floor, with a knotty-pine lower level that holds a vintage bar, an air hockey table, the laundry, and a fourth guest room for overflow. Out back, a wide deck looks over a fenced yard.

  • Pet-friendly, fenced yard
  • Decorative fireplace
  • Basement bar and game room
  • In-home laundry
  • Dedicated workspace
  • Utilities and internet included

Room by room

Main floor

Fireplace, stained glass, a kitchen that cooks

The living room is the bright heart of the house: a deep sofa and two armchairs face a decorative fireplace, with a smart TV above it and hardwood floors that run through an arched doorway into the dining nook. There, a built-in bench under a stained-glass window seats the whole group for dinner or doubles as a homework table. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, and full cookware, plus three ways to make coffee: Keurig, drip, and French press.

Bedrooms and bath

King, queen, twin trundle, one full bath

The king bedroom is the primary, with closet space for guests who are actually unpacking. The queen bedroom has blackout shades and a ceiling fan for whatever hours you keep. The third bedroom has a twin trundle bed, a flexible setup for a solo guest, two kids, or extra sleeping space. Every bed has fresh linens, a nightstand, and a lamp. One full bath with a tub-and-shower combination serves the home, stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.

Lower level

Vintage bar, air hockey, laundry, guest room

Knotty pine walls, a wood-paneled bar with stools and Route 66 and Coca-Cola details, an air hockey table, and a shelf of board games (Yahtzee, Connect 4, Taboo, and more) make the basement the house's second living room. A semi-private fourth bedroom with a queen bed handles overflow, still within the six-guest maximum. The washer, dryer, and utility sink are down here too, so a long stay never means a laundromat run.

Outside and workspace

Deck, fenced yard, fire pit, fold-down desk

A wide deck with a picnic table steps down to a fenced backyard where the dog can run and kids can throw a ball without worrying about the street. There is a fire pit and a grill for evenings out back. Inside, a dedicated workspace with a fold-down desk and a comfortable chair means real work gets done without balancing a laptop on your knee. Free street parking is right outside.

What guests say about Little Field

Rated 4.7 across 26 reviews. Every review below is from a real stay at this house.

This is the second time we have stayed here, it is such a nice place! We stayed for nearly 2 weeks while we were moving. It is a very comfortable home on a quiet street. Kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of space and high speed internet for remote work. Our dogs loved the large fenced-in yard. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a real home to stay in while they are on the road!
Colleen, two-week stay with their dogs while moving, second visit
The host is absolutely amazing, anything we needed he delivered very quickly. The home is perfectly sized for a small family with pets. It's clean, great neighborhood, awesome backyard, the neighbors are kind, there is a park that is very walkable. 10/10 hit all expectations!
Jamie, family stay with pets
The basement with all the games and the spacious updated kitchen were the most appreciated features which made our vacation truly a vacation! The kitchen was clean with enough counter space for three cooks to comfortably work.
Tarese, multi-generational family trip
